Anna is a Los Angeles native; currently resides in Orange County, CA. She has been playing guitar for over 20 years, both electric and acoustic styles. She is also an avid bassist; plays mostly post-punk and experimental rock styles. In addition to her experience with fretted instruments, she has also made accomplishments as a vocalist, and composes both songs and art music. She has studied North Indian Classical music; sitar & voice with world-renowned sarode master Ustad Aashish Khan, and tabla classes with Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri.
Anna is a classically trained musician and has performed with well-known guitarists including William Kanengiser and Ben Verdery. In addition to individual guitar studies with Scott Morris, Miroslav Tadic, and Stuart Fox; she has participated in workshops lead by prominent guitarists, such as Juan Serrano, Scott Tennant, and Larry Koontz. Anna's professional appearances include the U.S. Premiere of Louis Andriessen’s Vermeer Pictures with the New World Symphony in Miami, Fl. She has over 7 years experience as a music teacher and holds a B.A. in Music from California State University, Dominguez Hills, M.F.A. in Guitar Performance from California Institute of the Arts, and M.A.T. degree from University of Southern California.
